A leading company in the maritime industry is seeking an Accounting Officer in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves verifying seafarer contracts, processing payroll, and monthly reconciliations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting and experience with SAP, alongside strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience in SAP is advantageous.

• Process monthly wages and statutory contributions.

Job Description

• Verify seafarer contracts, movements & bank details updated in Crew Management Software.
• Processing monthly/final wages & payments to seafarer using Crew Payroll Software (auto-interface to SAP).
• Processing monthly statutory contributions for seafarer.
• Processing Cash to Master payments and register its accounting entries into SAP.
• Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation of crew control accounts.
• Yearly submission of employers’ income tax returns IR8A for seafarer.
• Liaise with Business Units on operation matters.
• Involve in other ad-hoc process improvement projects.
