ACCOUNTS OFFICER

We are seeking a full-time Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team at Diamet Klang (M) Sdn Bhd (fka PMG Klang) in Port Klang, Selangor. As an Accounts Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our accounting processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implementing and maintaining a financial software system.
2. Preparing accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including matters relating to taxes.
3. Planning and managing internal stock takes and external audit exercises.
4. Providing leadership on financial and management accounting policies and procedures.
5. Developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure fiscal control, including information to enable forward cash flow projections and planning.
6. Organizing the monthly accounts closing process, coordinating with all departments for the monthly close.
7. Assisting with the budgeting process and forecasting exercises.
8. Ensuring all accounts are reconciled and properly reflected in financial statements.
9. Maintaining accurate and timely records for all ledgers, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and banking accounts, for both local and overseas customers/suppliers.
10. Carrying out credit control functions timely.
11. Adhering to all Quality Systems standards.
12. Managing petty cash, lease accounts, cash movements, loan payments, royalty payments, and international/domestic wire transfers timely.
13. Reporting timely to Bank Negara, the Statistics Department, MIDA, and other relevant government bodies.
14. Liaising with local and offshore banking institutions regarding loans, overdrafts, revolving credits, bank guarantees, and monitoring related transactions and investments.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or relevant certifications.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounts Officer.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
4. Proficient in accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
5. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Familiarity with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
