A leading company in the maritime industry seeks an experienced accountant to manage payroll and accounting tasks for seafarers. This role involves verifying contracts, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with statutory contributions. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting, have relevant experience, and possess strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Verify seafarer contracts, movements & bank details updated in Crew Management Software.
Processing monthly/final wages & payments to seafarer using Crew Payroll Software (auto-interface to SAP).
Processing monthly statutory contributions for seafarer.
Processing Cash to Master payments and register its accounting entries into SAP.
Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliation of crew control accounts.
Yearly submission of employers’ income tax returns IR8A for seafarer.
Liaise with Business Units on operation matters.
Involve in other ad-hoc process improvement projects.
Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
Experience in SAP/payroll will be added advantage
Good interpersonal skills and detail oriented
