Job Summary

As an Accounts Officer at Habib Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Your responsibilities will include verifying daily sales, preparing reports, managing payments, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify daily sales bank-in and post daily sales journal entries accurately.
  • Prepare sales commission and bank reconciliation within the given timeline.
  • Manage and prepare payments and journal vouchers efficiently.
  • Prepare the monthly closing schedule to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure proper filing for all journal vouchers and related documents.
  • Assist in the annual stock take and prepare for stock roll forward.
  • Handle any other ad-hoc duties or tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s working experience in a relevant field or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Possess basic accounting knowledge and strong logical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to write and speak in English and Malay languages. Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint)
  • Able to work independently, under pressure and commit time to meet deadline & able to prioritise work
