Accounts Manager (Property Development & Construction)
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee all accounting functions within our property development and construction business. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and providing insightful financial reporting specific to the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage full spectrum of accounting tasks including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Oversee project cost accounting and budgeting specific to property development and construction projects.
- Monitor cash flow, project expenses, and profitability.
- Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and financial regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and internal controls in line with company policies.
- Support management with financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic planning.
- Handle payroll processing and employee claims.
- Manage vendor payments and supplier contracts related to construction projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in property development or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, GST/SST, and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QnE, AutoCount, QuickBooks, SAP, ERP) and MS Office.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of project management accounting is a plus.
