About the role

Our company is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team in our Kuala Lumpur office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the financial reporting function, ensuring that all reports are accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, Income Tax Act, E-Invoicing, Transfer Pricing).
• Prepare group consolidation accounts, analyze intercompany transactions, and perform revenue and cost analysis by project. Ensure accurate adjustments and eliminations for group reporting.
• Plan and prepare tax estimates (e.g., CP204, CP204A) by considering company cash flow and minimizing tax penalties. Ensure tax planning is based on accurate, up-to-date information from various departments
• Assist CFO to conduct risk assessment to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies
• Create a good communication channel to facilitate the information flow among the departments are always up to date and all the queries can be resolved in a proper manner
• Work with other departments to forecast cash flow, financial performance, and project budgets

Competencies/Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MIA qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar accounting management role
• Proficient in Excel reporting, listing knowledge, tax knowledge, listing compliance and team management with at least 5 direct reports.
• Experience in top 10 audit firm or public listed company will be added advantages
• Able to start immediately is an added advantage.
