Lead and manage all aspects of financial operations, including monthly closings, financial analysis, and reporting.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Oversee monthly management reports, quarterly board reports, and ensure timely financial reporting for board and management meetings.
Review and analyze financial trends, forecasts, variances, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control
Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
Implement and maintain robust budgeting and costing systems, ensuring proper control mechanisms and variance analysis.
Monitor and manage cash flow, receivables, and payables to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
3. Accounting Operations
Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and fixed asset schedules.
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Oversee the processing of payment vouchers, invoices, petty cash claims, and tax reconciliations.
Ensure all month-end processes and reconciliations (AR, AP, bank, tax, and duties) are completed on time.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, internal controls, and accounting standards.
Keep abreast of changes in financial legislation, accounting principles, and regulatory updates.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, banks, government bodies, and other stakeholders.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties, including board members and investors.
Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts Department, aligning team goals with company objectives.
Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance team, fostering a professional and positive work environment.
Provide training and continuous development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Support the General Manager in financial planning, performance review, and strategic initiatives.
7. Other Duties
Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
Uphold company values, demonstrate leadership by example, and contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
Postgraduate qualifications such as a Master’s degree, MBA, or Postgraduate Diploma are preferred.
Professional accounting certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA) are highly desirable.
2.Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant post-degree experience in accounting and finance roles.
At least 5 years in a finance leadership position, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage departmental operations.
Experience in business partnering, financial consulting, or strategic finance roles is a strong advantage.
3.Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record in motivating, mentoring, and developing finance teams.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in interpreting financial data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
High level of initiative and independence; able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A collaborative team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
