About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Executive (GL) to join our dynamic team at HYUNDAI MOTOR MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing a range of general ledger accounting duties to support the overall financial reporting and operations of the company.

What you'll be doing

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process

Perform bank reconciliations and cash management activities

Provide support for audits and respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders

Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data and reporting requirements are met

What we're looking for

Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

3-5 years of experience in a similar general ledger accounting role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting standards

Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets and other relevant financial applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve objectives
