Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia seeks an experienced financial accountant to provide comprehensive accounting support. The role encompasses managing accounting functions such as budgeting, cash flow management, month-end closing, and liaising with auditors. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in finance or a related field, and possess 3 years of experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to handle full set accounts independently.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

Provide financial accounting support and analysis to business units.

Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including timely preparation of financial and management reports, costing, budgeting, cash flow management, review and analysis of financial data and performance, and banking matters.

Prepare and review month-end closing.

Ensure accurate compilation, analysis, and management reporting of accounting data.

Liaise with internal and external parties, such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries.

Participate in ad-hoc projects assigned by the company.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or equivalent, or partial qualification from a recognized accounting body.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience is required. Experience in the service and hospitality industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle full set accounts independently.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and SUN Accounting system.
  • Independent with strong communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
  • Background in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.

Salary shall be commensurate with experience.
