Job summary

Private Advertiser, a 4-Star hotel in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an Accounts Executive - General Ledger to join the Finance team. You will manage full GL accounts, prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance and minimum 5 years of hotel industry accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Independent workers who meet monthly reporting deadlines are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hotel/hospitality.
• Good knowledge of General Ledger and month-end closing procedures.
• Familiar with hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of General Ledger (GL) accounts and ensure accurate financial records.

• Assist in monthly and year-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain fixed asset register and prepare depreciation schedules.
• Review and reconcile intercompany and related-party transactions.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and liaise with internal/external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.

We are a 4-Star hotel located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accounts Executive - General Ledger to join our Finance team.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of General Ledger (GL) accounts and ensure accurate financial records.

Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, prepayments and account reconciliations.

Assist in monthly and year-end closing and preparation of financial reports.

Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.

Maintain fixed asset register and prepare depreciation schedules.

Review and reconcile intercompany and related-party transactions.

About you

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Good knowledge of General Ledger and month-end closing procedures.

Familiar with hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Able to work independently and meet monthly reporting deadlines.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Experience in a 4-Star or 5-Star hotel environment will be an added advantage.
