A leading staffing agency is in search of a meticulous Account Executive in Kuala Lumpur. This role involves managing a full spectrum of accounting functions, tax compliance, and HR responsibilities. Candidates will need relevant qualifications and experience, with proficiency in accounting software. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong analytical and organizational skills and be able to communicate effectively, particularly with Mandarin clients.
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Account Executive to manage a full spectrum of accounting functions alongside key HR and administrative responsibilities for several locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, tax and audit compliance, and handling HR statutory obligations and payroll.
Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance:
Manage full set of accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
Prepare corporate tax computations and compile annual reports.
Review accrual accounts and perform month-end closing.
Prepare timely monthly financial reports including P&L and management reports.
Develop annual budgets, quarterly profit forecasts, and monthly cash flow forecasts.
Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
Handle quarterly GST filings and ensure tax compliance.
Human Resources:
Administer and process monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with all HR statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, etc.).
Manage applications and renewals of work permits (e.g., EP/DP holders – Japanese).
Administration:
Support general administrative tasks and office operations.
Undertake any ad hoc tasks as required by management.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with proven years of experience
Technical Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, MYOB, or similar)
Solid understanding of Malaysian taxation and financial regulations
Familiarity with payroll systems and HR statutory reporting
Soft Skills:
High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills (Mandarin proficiency is prefererred). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Salary: Up to RM7,000 (Negotiable)
Working days/hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM
