Job summary

American Air Filter Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. seeks a finance professional to manage accounting processes in a manufacturing setting. You will prepare financial and management reports, perform variance analyses, and maintain general ledger integrity within SAP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is advantageous.
• At least 1 year working experience in Finance/Accounting (manufacturing sector preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports for management review.
• Perform variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecasts.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Monitor accruals, prepayments and provisions for accurate financial data.
• Review supplier invoices/credit notes and customer billing in SAP.
• Monitor receivables and payables and prepare aging reports.
• Support internal and external audit processes with schedules and inquiries.
• Drive process improvements and SAP utilization.
• Other duties as required by management.

Job description

The ideal candidate has solid work experience in the manufacturing sector and understands the daily operations and processes involved. The candidate also has experience using the SAP HANA system, especially for tasks like tracking inventory, planning production, and generating reports.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial report in compliance with accounting standard and internal policies.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports for management to review.

Perform variance analysis of actual result against budget, forecast and prior periods/year.

Maintain accurate and up to date general ledger accounts, journal entries and reconciliations.

Monitor accrual, prepayments and provision to ensure proper cut off and completeness of financial data.

Review supplier invoice/credit note, customer billing in SAP.

Monitor outstanding receivable and payables, follow up on overdue balance & prepare aging report.

Ensure adherence to internal control, company policies and statutory requirement (eg. Tax, filling & audit)

Support external & internal audit process by preparing schedules and responding to queries.

Process improvement and support contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining finance processes and enhancing SAP utilization.

Other assigned duties as required by superior / management from time to time.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.

Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is advantage.

At least 1 year working experience in Finance / Accounting (with manufacturing sector is an advantage). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Working knowledge of SAP HANA / FICO modules.

Solid understanding of manufacturing costing principles, inventory accounting, production workflows.

Knowledge in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Demonstrate good analytical thinking, interpersonal & communication skills.

Strong analysis, planning, Initiative & able to work independently.
