Job description

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in the daily operations of the accounting department including financial reporting, accounts management, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, stock records, variance analysis, reconciliations and group accounts consolidation.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting records and systems with internal controls, comply with accounting standards and SST regulations, initiate process improvement and corrective actions on accounting workflows.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce timely financial reports and budgeting reports to the Board of Directors and management team.
  • Assist in cashflow management and treasury functions.
  • Liaise with the bankers for loan facilities and other bank official matters.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents, complete annual audits and corporate income tax submission according to local regulatory requirements and timelines.
  • Liaise with company secretary, maintain proper filing of annual returns and secretarial related documents according to Companies Act 2016.
  • To perform any other duties as instructed by immediate superior or any other person assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum qualification Diploma in bookkeeping/auditing or any related field.
  • At least 1 to 2 years working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience with handling full set accounts (AP/GL/AR) for group of companies are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge on Accounting system with Xero Accounting Software & Autocount will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Good speaking and writing skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are preferable as this position is required to manage vendors’ invoice and legal documents in Mandarin.
  • Independent, deadline-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Able to start work immediately will be an advantage.
