Job Requirement:
To manage full accounts including, but not limited to the following:
- Preparing the monthly accounts reporting within the stipulated deadlines (deadlines are strictly to be followed as determined by HQ) and to ensure that a complete and accurate monthly closing.
- Ensure all accounting procedures and documentations, i.e. Requisition Form, Purchase Order, Invoices, etc. are in proper order, completed and approved by the respective personnel before issuing payments.
- Responsible for all accounting data entries relating to the project and ensuring that the entries are entered correctly and accurately into the accounting system.
- Liaise with project’s Manager-in-charge on the timely issuance of progress claim/invoice to client.
- Process payments to subcontractors, suppliers of goods and services, staff claims, site office utilities payment and other payments on a timely basis based on the monthly payment schedule.
- To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
- To maintain proper filing system and ensure traceability of documents.
- Co-ordinate and assist in finance administrative matters which includes banking matters, maintenance of vendor and other office administration etc.
- Liaise with the auditors on annual audits and address any accounting and control issues proactively.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving: Able to understand, analyze, identify key issues, relate and compare data from different sources.
- Commitment: Willing to seek continuous improvement and development.
- Excels in fast-paced settings, readily adapting to changes.
- Proactive and self-directed, contributing effectively to a team while operating with minimal oversight.
