Job summary

A construction company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to manage project accounting. Responsibilities include processing financial records, liaising with project teams, and ensuring proper documentation. Candidates should have a Diploma in Accounting, 2 years of experience in construction, and proficiency in Mandarin. Immediate availability is preferred, and knowledge of accounting software like Autocount is a plus.

• Responsible for accounting processing of construction project accounts.

• Ensure proper recording of bank reconciliation, invoices, and receipts.

Job description

Responsible for the monthly and yearly accounting processing of the construction project account, mainly on project basis.

Liaise with the Project Team, inter-department to facilitate the smooth operation in accounting and documentation procedures.

To ensure the bank reconciliation, invoices & receipts, account receivable and payable are performed and recorded in proper manner.

Routine accounting related tasks such as closing accounts, e-invoicing generated, vouchers/claims checking etc.

Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma/LCCI in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience is preferred, especially in Construction Industry.

Required accounting software skill eg. Autocount.

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel/Power Point etc.

Ability to read, write and speak in Mandarin, Malay, English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting

Able to multi-task and work independently.
