Job summary

A leading company in food trading is looking for an experienced accountant to manage financial operations, prepare full sets of accounts, and assist in audits. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in cash flow management and a degree in finance or accountancy with required language proficiencies in Mandarin, English, and Malay.

Qualifications

Job description

Prepare full set accounts, including issuance of cheques, coordinate payment verification and approval, and handle other daily operations to ensure timely and accurate monthly bank reconciliations, cash book movements, journals, and general ledger management.

Oversee daily operational accounting and finance functions such as accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.

Monitor and assist in cash flow management and planning for the corporate headquarters, and improve cash flow through effective credit management and collections.

Perform annual audits, ensure compliance with legal and accounting standards, and follow up on audit findings.

Collaborate closely with other departments on accounting issues and monthly closing activities.

Manage and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, legal advisers, and bankers.

Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Required languages: Mandarin, English, and Malay.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Salary range: RM2,200 – RM2,800.
