About the role

As the ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT MANAGER at K.I. Engineering Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial accounting and reporting. This full-time position is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, and offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the success of this dynamic engineering firm.

What you'll be doing

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger management.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow reports).

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

Supervise and mentor the accounting team to enhance efficiency.

Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, bankers and other authorities.

What we're looking for

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accountancy or part professional qualification such as ACCA, MIA or equivalent.

5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.

Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards.

Proficient in accounting software (SQL), Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Leadership ability with Self-motivated with a proactive approach and detail-oriented approach.
