Job description

Position: Accounts Assistant (6-Month Contract – Renewable/Convertible)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for renewal or conversion to a permanent role. This is a 100% remote work position, ideal for individuals with at least 2 years of accounting experience who are able to work independently in a structured and disciplined manner.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Transactions: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.

Invoice Management: Prepare and issue invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and take strong ownership of accounts receivable matter.

Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and documentation.

Administrative Support: Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, managing financial correspondence and assisting with some accounts payable task.

Daily Reporting: Provide daily updates to the manager and/or colleagues handling accounts receivable to ensure smooth workflow and communication.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive, self-starter attitude.

Work Style: Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Technical Requirements: Must have your own laptop or computer and a reliable internet connection.

Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively and report to the manager on a daily basis.
