Job description

•Position Title: Accounts Assistant.
•Position No. & type: 3 vacancies;Permanent; Full-time.
•Salary: RM 1800-2300.
•Location: Kuala Lumpur city center (5 working-day week)

Chrisjac Recruitment are working with a public listed company looking for suitable Accounting candidates to fill two immediate vacancies that have recently arisen in within the corporate head office in Kuala Lumpur city center. The company is a group of reputable companies involved in diverse businesses, providing well known brands in general insurance, financial services and information technologies.
Job scope & responsibilities
The role is full-time permanent position where you will be reporting to Senior Accounts Executive within the accounting team.
As Accounts Assistant, you will be involved in the daily operations and activities of the Accounting Department, which will include processing of invoices, Purchase orders, Delivery orders and monthly payments.
Key Duties:
·Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
·Carry out bank and/other reconciliations.
·Process journal entries and issue payment vouchers.
·Process claims debits/credit notes and various technical statement of accounts for submission.
·Maintain proper filing and accounting records.
The Candidate
·
Candidate must possess minimum Diploma in Accounting.
·Knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
·One year of relevant work experience in managing Accounting functions; fresh graduates without experience would be duly considered.
·Previous experience working within the insurance/financial services industry would be advantageous.
·Proficient with ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
·Familiar and proficient in Accounting system and MS Word and Excel.
