A leading company in Selangor is seeking a detail-oriented Account Assistant to support its finance team. The role involves managing daily accounting operations and assisting with financial report preparations. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in finance/accountancy and relevant experience, promoting a supportive team environment and growth opportunities.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Account Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
Job Responsibilities
· Perform day-to-day accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, and payment preparation.
· Assist in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
· Prepare bank reconciliations and update cash flow records.
· Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
· Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
· Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments when necessary.
· Support auditors, tax agents, company secretary and bankers with required documentation.
· Any other tasks as assigned by the Account Executive, Assistant Manager and Manager.
Requirements:
· Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent.
· Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant experience is an advantage.
· Knowledge in Auto Count accounting system will be an advantage.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Team player with a positive attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Fast leaner, adaptable and able to multi-task to meet deadlines.
· Self-motivated and organized, with strong initiative, commitment and have ability to multi-task.
