About the role

We are looking for a full-time Accounts Assistant to join the team in Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accounting and bookkeeping support to ensure the smooth financial operations of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial auditing
  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting team
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and procedures
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax authorities
  • Providing support for other ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Knowhow on the new implementation of e-invoicing
