About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing team at NURSYASMIN CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. in Melaka. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's objectives. This is a full-time, permanent position.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage the accounting team, providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant with 8+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of accounting professionals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
