Job summary

Biomedia Holdings in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to lead monthly closes, consolidate multi-entity data, and drive accurate financial reporting across Southeast Asia. You will ensure regulatory compliance, optimize budgets, and partner with regional heads to deliver strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• ISCA/CA/ACCA membership preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing accounting operations.
• Experience in trading and distribution sectors preferred.
• ERP implementation experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Lead consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and policies.
• Oversee AP, AR, and GL operations.
• Monitor and explain budget variances; support departmental managers.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and supply chain to align financial goals.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and mentor regional accounting team; promote collaboration.

About the Role

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring timely monthly closing and financial reporting, managing budget and forecasting accuracy, ensuring financial compliance and contributing to the analysis of financial performance. You will also provide tactical accounting guidance and overseeing the consolidation of financial data. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting, with excellent accounting operations knowledge, value optimization(improvements) skillset, good problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Consolidation:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


• Lead and Oversee the consolidation process from multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data across the region.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies


• Well versed in AP, AR and GL operations

Budget Management:

• Monitor and control budgets, providing insights into variances and recommending corrective actions.


• Work closely with department heads to align budgetary goals with operational needs.


• Monitor the financial performance in accordance to the budget and forecasts.


• Allocate expenses of corporate centre to various profit centres


• Identify financial risks and opportunities within the region, proposing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.


• Implement and monitor effective controls over financial and business risks

Business Partnering:

• Partner with other departments, including sales, operations, and supply chain, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.


• Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making at the regional level

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


• Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain high standards of financial integrity.


• Manage and ensure transfer pricing regulations met and complied with according to IRB laws


• Manage and ensure LHDN e-invoice guidelines are properly incorporated and complied with and on-time transmission into IRBM

Team Management:

• Supervise, train and develop a regional accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional growth.


• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a related field


• ISCA / Chartered Accountant / ACCA Member


• Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience


• Proven experience in leading teams and managing accounting operations


• Preferably in the trading and distribution industry


• ERP Implementation experience is a plus.


• Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis


• Skilled in performing detailed and complex numerical computations and reports


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficient in MS Office suite especially MS Excel (Pivot, V-Lookup) and PowerPoint; monthly preparation of presentation will be required


• Proficiency in ERP system - SAP experience is an advantage


• Good in execution, structured, resilient, meticulous and detailed


• A resilient team player to the management team and can deliver under tight deadlines


• Experience in managing a shared service centre will be a plus
