A diversified business group in Malaysia seeks a Junior Accounting Executive to support the finance team across multiple industries. The role involves bookkeeping, reconciliations, and compliance with financial regulations. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Accounting and 2-4 years of experience. We are a diversified business group with operations in property trading & development, MM2H services, landbank investments, and holding company management. We are looking for a dedicated Junior Accounting Executive to support our finance team across multiple entities and industries.
As a Junior Accounting Executive, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations across several group entities. You will assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Perform daily data entry of accounting transactions in the system (AR, AP, GL).
Assist in issuing invoices, preparing payment vouchers, and processing staff claims.
Handle petty cash and basic cash flow tracking.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly closing activities.
Help monitor intercompany transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of accounting documents.
Assist in statutory filings (e.g., SST/GST, TDS, EPF, SOCSO) where applicable.
Support finance team in preparation of management reports and audits.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments for accounting-related matters.
Work with senior team members to support financial compliance and controls.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of working experience in an accounting or finance role.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with SQL accounting software
Good attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.
Able to multitask and work under supervision in a fast-paced, multi-industry environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and [other required languages].
Experience in property, MM2H, or investment/holding companies.
Familiarity with intercompany accounting or group consolidations.
Knowledge of Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.
Work days: 5 days a week, flexible working hours
