Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, including accruals and intercompany accounting.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform month-end close analysis and ad-hoc tasks.
• Record inter-company cross-charges and settlements.
• Support statutory financial statements with footnotes.
• Identify process bottlenecks and escalate to senior associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and Responsible Business Alliance policies.

Basic Job Functions: This position performs the accounting for routine business transactions and executes fundamental processes involved in the global accounting close. This position applies critical thinking and analytical skills to meet key deadlines efficiently. Candidate must have basic understanding of accounting procedures, concepts and principles accepted in the United States ("U.S. GAAP") or other regional bases of accounting.

Education/Experience

• Bachelorette degree in finance or accounting (required)
• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related fields (preferred)
• 1-2 years combined experience working for a public company and/or a public accounting firm with relevant experience in financial accounting, general ledger, month-end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including a basic proficiency in Excel

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, including entries related to accruals, prepaids, cash clearing, derivatives, marketable securities, warranty, and recycling obligations.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and tasks related to month-end close.
• Record inter-company cross-charges, balance netting, and settlements.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements with associated footnotes and schedules.
• Identify issues and bottlenecks in process execution and highlight them to senior associates.
