You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of our Malaysia office. This role involves consolidating financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting decision-making by providing accurate financial insights. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, streamline financial processes, and coordinate effectively. Reporting to the CFO and Finance Director, you will assist in overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance & Admin Department.

This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, based at KL Eco City, KL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Admin Department.
  • Prepare accounts, tax, and audit documentation in line with accounting standards.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad hoc group reporting, annual budgets, forecasts, and analysis of group financial performance, including cost control and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other statutory bodies.
  • Assist senior management with internal control, policy compliance, and improving system efficiency.
  • Manage all financial, accounting, and tax compliance functions according to statutory and tax requirements.
  • Improve reporting processes and operational efficiency of business units within the group.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA); relevant licenses or certifications may be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience.
  • Familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Malaysian GAAP.
  • Proficient in accounting software and other computer applications.
  • Experience in preparing cash flow budgets and forecasts.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Experience handling payroll.
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin, as you will need to deal with our China counterpart.
