About the role

We are seeking an Accountant Executive to join our dynamic team at OGC Builder Sdn Bhd in Bintulu, Sarawak. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and providing valuable insights to support the company's overall financial management and decision-making processes.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Generating and analysing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support the company's financial planning and decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
• Providing financial and administrative support to the management team as needed
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and control processes

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
