Accountant/Accounts & Finance Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Accounts & Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and be proficient in using ERP accounting systems.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly financial reports, financial audit and tax returns.
2. Provide monthly/quarterly financial data and analysis on overall financial performance of the group/company to the management.
3. Review monthly financial performance for cash flow projection, budget, and funding planning.
4. Oversee financial operations including APs, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, taxes, financial accounting, and management accounting; manage statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
5. Manage a team of accounts staff on daily operations to ensure timely performance delivery.
6. Collaborate with division heads on budget preparation and cost control to improve overall profitability. Facilitate cost analysis for monitoring and targets.
7. Handle tax affairs of the group.
8. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretary, and other statutory bodies/authorities.
9. Manage payment and collection schedules to ensure cash management efficiency.
10. Plan and oversee the utilization of banking facilities for the group.
11. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including accounting, legal secretarial, and tax matters.
12. Manage trade facilities utilization.
13. Prepare specific reports as requested by management.
14. Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, with professional qualifications such as ACCA or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
3. Experience with ERP accounting software systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
4. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
5. Good analytical and quantifying skills with high attention to detail.
6. Familiarity with local banking instruments.
7. Trustworthy, reliable, with high integrity.
8. Good planning and organizational skills.
9. Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and multitask effectively.
