We are searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to support our automotive aftersales services and refurbishment business in Singapore. Based in Malaysia, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations, maintaining compliance, and driving improvements in financial reporting. What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and review the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all records are accurate and discrepancies are resolved with Shared Services Centre (SSC) and Operations teams.
Plan and oversee vendor payments in line with the payment cycle, liaising with SSC for payment setup and processing.
Support cash flow management, including intercompany transactions and settlements to optimize financial resources.
Assist in tax and regulatory filings, audits, and corporate secretarial matters to ensure compliance with Singaporean financial regulations.
Prepare monthly management accounts and accounting schedules, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and insightful.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Collaborate with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams to continuously enhance the quality of financial reporting and automate internal finance operations for better efficiency.
What You Bring to the Table
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus!).
3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or financial operations—bonus points if you’ve worked in automotive, retail, or wholesale industries.
Familiarity with Shared Services Centres (SSC) and finance process migration is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of IFRS and experience in financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Strong communication skills—you can explain financial data clearly to non-financial teams.
A proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement and automation.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
Frequent travel to the Singapore office is required.
