Accountant

About the role

WINEPAK CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Accountant to join their team in Puchong, Selangor. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the Financial Accounting & Reporting functions of the organization, contributing to the company's overall financial management and strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
5. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
6. Assist in the implementation of financial controls and process improvements.
7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to address financial queries and concerns.

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Accounting or a related field.
2. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
3. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
