Job summary

Stealth Startup in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Finance Reporting professional to consolidate group accounts across multiple entities in a fast-evolving crypto environment. You will prepare IFRS/GAAP statements, manage intercompany eliminations, and work with auditors.

The role blends traditional financial reporting with crypto asset accounting, PnL tracking, and AI-assisted analytics as the team scales. CPA in progress or qualified preferred; strong Excel and ERP experience a must.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in financial reporting, audit, or group accounting; Big4 background a plus
• IFRS knowledge with focus on financial instruments and fair value measurement
• Exposure to digital asset accounting (crypto, tokens, staking) or eagerness to learn fast
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
• Detail-oriented while keeping big-picture in mind
• Adaptable to shifting priorities and new accounting treatments, tools, or business models
• Interest in AI-driven finance reporting and analysis
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• CPA qualified or in progress

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across group entities in IFRS/GAAP
• Handle consolidation across subsidiaries and jurisdictions; reconcile intercompany transactions, FX, and digital assets
• Manage accounting for crypto assets, token positions, trading PnL, staking/yield income
• Assist month-end and year-end close; journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with external auditors; provide schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist in building reporting templates and process improvements as the group scales
• Work with team to develop and implement AI agents for financial reporting and analysis

This is a hands-on reporting role in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environment. Things move fast here — priorities shift, new business lines launch, and the regulatory landscape keeps evolving. What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across group entities in compliance with IFRS/GAAP
• Handle consolidation across multiple subsidiaries and jurisdictions — reconciling intercompany transactions, FX positions, and digital asset holdings
• Manage the accounting treatment of crypto assets, token positions, trading PnL, and staking/yield income
• Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with external auditors and provide schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation
• Assist in building out reporting templates and process improvements as the group scales
• Work alongside the team to develop and implement AI agents for financial reporting and analysis — helping define requirements, validate outputs, and improve accuracy over time

What You Bring

• 3–5 years in financial reporting, audit, or group accounting — Big 4 background is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS, particularly around financial instruments and fair value measurement
• Exposure to digital asset accounting (crypto, tokens, staking) — or a genuine eagerness to learn it fast
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
• Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
• Adaptable — comfortable switching gears when priorities change, and quick to pick up new accounting treatments, tools, or business models as the group evolves
• Curious about how AI can improve finance workflows — we're actively building agentic AI tools for reporting and analysis, and we want people who lean into that rather than around it
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• CPA qualified or in progress
