Responsibilities:

  1. Review of Payables and Receivables transactions, ensuring accurate accounting entries and data integrity.
  2. Perform bank reconciliations and month-end reconciliation of all general ledger balances.
  3. Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  4. Assist in the yearly closing of accounts and coordinate with auditors for external audits.
  5. Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of SST submissions.
  6. Support management in finance, HR, admin, and purchasing reviews.
  7. Handle ad hoc matters as assigned.
  8. Perform project cost analysis and assist in WIP schedule preparation.
  9. Maintain Fixed Assets Register.
  10. Analyze, recommend, and implement improvements in accounting systems and procedures.
  11. Oversee and assist in managing the Accounts Team.
  12. Support accounting and HR functions of regional offices.
  13. Provide financial advice and support to management.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing full set accounts with a good understanding of Malaysian statutory reporting.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software; SQL accounting knowledge is an advantage.
  4. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  5. Proactive, flexible, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work independently.
  6. Enjoy working with people and thrive in a team environment.
  7. Fluent in written and spoken English.
