Job summary

Job description

- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a relevant professional qualification from a recognized institution, and be a member of a recognized accounting professional body such as MIA, CPA, ACCA, etc.

- Have at least 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with the ability to handle a full set of accounts.

- Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial or leadership experience.

- Have a strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, tax, and compliance requirements.

- Demonstrate strong tax knowledge and a results-oriented approach.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
  • Prepare, monitor, and control budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budgets using variance analysis, and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee and manage working capital and operational cash flow.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and prepare cash flow statements for financing purposes.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, legal professionals, bankers, and company secretaries to ensure compliance.
  • Proactively address redundant processes and streamline workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Provide strong leadership to guide and motivate the accounts team.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
