Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Consolidate accounts across multiple outlets / entities and ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, withholding tax, income tax, etc.).
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts; monitor petty cash and staff expense claims.
- Record the transactions of all business activities using the Synergy Accounting System software.
- Assist in any ad-hoc assignments as assigned by superior and assist in the preparation of tenders for the Finance section.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations; conduct data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits; send monthly debtors statements and perform accounts reconciliation.
- Maintain up-to-date accounting records, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and other required documents; ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
- Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff; recruit and coordinate interviews for accounting and finance positions as needed.
- Record and reconcile tax-related items and ensure timely filing of GST, SST, and other relevant tax returns; oversee tax compliance.
