Bruker Malaysia is looking for a dynamic Accountant

to oversee the finance and accounting functions, including general accounting duties, maintaining complete sets of financial records, tracking accounts, and verifying the accuracy of procedures used for recording financial transactions. The role supports SOX, statutory, and other audits. This position supports the Singapore Financial Controller at the operational level. It is based in Selangor, Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  1. Owns the general ledgers for Bruker Singapore Pte Ltd, a regional hub. Ensures the accuracy of the Singapore financial results in accordance with US & SG GAAP and company policies. Maintains an internal financial control environment and provides recommendations on accounting and finance matters requiring judgment.
  2. Supports the Singapore Financial Controller on local financial, statutory, and regulatory matters. Manages all areas of Singapore financial support including financial reporting, accounting, business analysis, treasury, taxation, and capital budgeting. Responsibilities include revenue recognition, accounts payable, travel and entertainment expenses, inventory reporting, cash management, GST and corporate tax compliance, SOX compliance, and statutory reporting, including reconciliation to US GAAP.
  3. Maintains credibility, diplomacy, and customer focus. Understands the business and responds to the needs of commercial partners. Handles complex topics with diplomacy and communicates effectively with varied audiences. Aims to enhance the customer experience for key stakeholders.
  4. Proactively seeks process improvements to enhance the quality and productivity of the finance team, aiming to eliminate or reduce non-value-added activities to meet APAC and global finance objectives.
  5. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting or auditing, preferably in the commercial industry.
  3. Advanced skills in MS Excel; experience with SAP/S4 Hana is an advantage.
  4. Strong analytical and accounting skills.
  5. Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking on challenging tasks.
  8. Self-motivated to work with minimal guidance and take ownership of work products.
