We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the company’s accounting operations through various administrative and financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Manage and process monthly invoices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely entry into the accounting system.
Full Set of Accounts Preparation:
Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and balance sheet schedules.
Maintain and update the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Handle all bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, invoicing and e-invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions.
Ensure timely filing and organization of accounting documentation.
Account Reconciliation:
Assist with weekly and monthly bank and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Audit and Tax Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax filings, including estimated tax payable, withholding tax, and corporate income tax, while staying up-to-date with changing tax regulations.
Assist in coordinating and providing documentation for internal and external audits.
Stay updated on financial regulations and standards in Malaysia, ensuring that all financial activities comply with local laws.
Process Improvement:
Contribute to the implementation of e-invoicing systems and the continuous improvement of accounting workflows.
Software and Tools:
Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to streamline financial processes and reporting.
Special Projects:
Support ad-hoc accounting and business operation tasks as assigned by superiors or management.
Requirement:
Education Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent, with ACCA qualification.
Working Experience:
At least 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant or similar role. Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations. Prior experience in audits and financial reporting is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with SQL accounting software and data entry is advantageous.
Teamwork:
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Organization:
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Language Proficiency:
Mandarin-speaking ability is a plus, especially for internal coordination purposes.
Work Ethic:
A strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and a cheerful attitude. Willingness to learn new things.
