Job Title: Senior Accounting Executive
Industry: Professional Services – Audit, Accounting, Taxation & Company Secretarial
Salary Range: RM4,000 – RM5,000
Role Summary:
The Senior Accounting Executive will be responsible for managing full sets of accounts, delivering high-quality client accounting and tax services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards. The role also involves close collaboration with internal teams and external parties to provide accurate and timely support to clients across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Full Set of Accounts
Prepare and maintain full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
Perform monthly and year-end closing, and generate financial reports.
Prepare supporting documents and schedules for audits.
2. Client Accounting Services
Handle accounting functions for multiple client portfolios.
Manage bookkeeping, invoicing, payment preparation, and SST submissions.
Assist clients in understanding financial performance and records.
3. Client Tax Services
Prepare basic tax computations and assist in tax return submissions.
Coordinate with internal tax team and clients on tax compliance and filing deadlines.
Ensure client records are tax-compliant and audit-ready.
4. Liaison & Coordination
Liaise with clients, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on accounting, audit, and tax matters.
Assist in preparing financial data and documentation for client queries and statutory submissions.
5. Financial Compliance & Accuracy
Ensure all financial reports and submissions comply with MFRS and relevant tax laws.
Maintain proper documentation for internal controls and audit trails.
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and best practices.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of working experience in handling full sets of accounts (preferably in an accounting firm).
Familiar with accounting software such as SQL, Autocount, or equivalent.
Sound knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.
Strong attention to detail, good time management, and able to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
