Accountant

About the role

As an Accountant at Magnum 4D Berhad, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting and reporting. This full-time position is based in Kuala Lumpur and will be a crucial part of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is available to support the business.

What you'll be doing

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily processing of payments and invoicing.
2. Prepare annual statutory reports, including draft financial reports, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Ensure timely and accurate completion of the monthly close process.
4. Ensure compliance with finance and tax filing requirements, including SST, WHT, and other statutory obligations, audits, and internal procedures.
5. Work with the tax agent to resolve any tax-related questions.
6. Prepare the annual budget by forecasting revenue, expenses, and financial goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and other regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations.
8. Take on ad-hoc assignments and tasks as delegated, contributing to the overall success of the team.

What we're looking for

1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.
2. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with hands-on experience in preparing financial and management reports.
3. In-depth knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
4. Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) with strong data analysis skills.
5. Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
6. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
7. Independent, efficient, and able to meet deadlines and deliverables with a sense of responsibility.
