Job description

Main Responsibilities:

Implement and/or Setup Process & System Deployment, Controls and Compliance:

  • Support to design new GIMS processes and workflow, implement new ERP system for new market.
  • Align internal controls to ensure compliance with WSM process.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.

General Ledger & Financial Reporting:

  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities to ensure a proper interaction and flow of information with other departments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
  • Monitor account receivables, reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensuring correct and timely payments to suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with WMS policies, accounting principles, IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.

Financial Analysis & Budgeting:

  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Accounting professional certification is required, such as ACCA, CICA, MICPA or any related certificates certified under MIA will be preferred.
  • Exposure in IFRS will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is a must; Mandarin is preferred to support new markets.
