Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a finance lead to manage month-end close, supervise the accounts team, and prepare timely financial reports. The role involves coordinating with auditors, tax consultants, and regulators to ensure compliance and accuracy, while driving improvements in internal controls and processes.

You will work with cross-department partners to resolve accounting issues and handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end closing process and ensure reporting timelines are met.
• Review and supervise account assistant daily tasks.
• Prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities on accounting issues.
• Supervise, guide, and coach accounts and finance personnel to ensure smooth department operation.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with reporting, accounting, and audit requirements.
• Drive process improvement initiatives focusing on internal controls and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as directed by Management.

• Responsible to liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities in relating to accounting issues
• Responsible to supervise, guiding, and coaching the accounts and finance personnel in their respective job functions and ensure the department operation is running smoothly
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all reporting, accounting, and audit requirements imposed by regulatory bodies
• To process improvement initiative encompass area such as internal control and improvement of efficiency for existing process/workflows
• Work closely with other departments/business partners in resolving accounting issues from time to time
• Perform any other ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the Management
