Job Duties:
- Support month-end closing and ensure reports are submitted within the stipulated timeline.
- Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and posting of journal entries.
- Prepare monthly and year-end schedules and perform accounts reconciliation.
- Provide support in analyzing financial data to facilitate decision-making processes.
- Assist in processing payments and verify staff claims.
- Support tax planning activities and assist in periodic tax filings.
- Liaise with auditors during year-end financial audits.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax computations.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure the reliability of forecasts related to activities, expenses, and investment planning.
- Work with the logistics management team to create operational KPIs to monitor logistics performance.
- Assist the financial controller in preparing a 12-month rolling plan and a 5-year trajectory to facilitate budgeting and evaluate current performance.
- Ensure that Profit and Loss accounts accurately reflect monthly income and expenses, complying with company standards and Malaysian GAAP.
- Verify the completeness, existence, and accuracy of fixed assets and inventories in collaboration with logistics operations managers.
- Ensure documents are properly archived and accessible upon request, including corporate and statutory information, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed.
