About the role

As an Accountant at Resourceco Asia (M) Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in assisting and helping to manage the company's accounts. This full-time position is based in Chemor Perak, and you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all financial transactions.

What you'll be doing
  • Assist with the month end closing of accounts, due by the 4th day after month end. Prepare and post all journal entries to the GL to ensure no omissions.
  • Assist in the performance of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that the amounts in the GL are tied correctly to fixed assets, AP & AR aging reports, and other supporting schedules.
  • Assist with the preparation of month end reports including Income Statement from the system and supporting/working schedules for CFO’s review.
  • Assist with monthly inter-company reconciliations to ensure all transactions have been accounted for accurately.
  • Assist with the analysis of monthly reports for variances to budget and forecast.
  • Assist with the preparation of other relevant finance reports as required.
  • Liaise with tax agent and auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation of the yearly budget for the following financial year, including subsidiary budget schedules and capital expenditure schedule.
  • Prepare and upload weekly payments to the banking system and perform invoice entries to NAV.
  • Assist in reviewing processes and documents related to e-invoicing to ensure timely upload to middleware and sending to customers as needed.
  • To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
What we're looking for
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in finance/audit background.
  • Working towards CPA or other professional qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Demonstrable experience in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
