Job summary

MORNINGSTAR MANAGEMENT CONSULTING (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts for multiple client portfolios and prepare periodic financial statements. You will ensure compliance with Malaysian standards and tax regulations, and liaise with auditors and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in an accounting firm or CSP.
• Holding the Tax Agent's licence is a must.
• Experience handling multiple client portfolios preferred.
• Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, SST requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts for multiple client portfolios.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare SST returns, corporate tax schedules, and other statutory tax filings.
• Assist clients with financial reporting and accounting advisory services.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses.
• Support payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
• Work with corporate secretarial team to support incorporation and ongoing compliance.

This role involves handling full sets of accounts for multiple client portfolios, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and local tax regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle full sets of accounts for multiple client portfolios

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations

Prepare SST returns, corporate tax schedules, and other statutory tax filings

Assist clients with financial reporting and accounting advisory services

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities

Prepare management reports and financial analyses

Support payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) where required

Work closely with the corporate secretarial team to support incorporation, post-incorporation, and ongoing compliance matters

Perform other ad hoc duties assigned by management

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines

Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent) is preferred

At least 8 years of experience in an accounting firm or Corporate Services Provider (CSP)

Holding the Tax Agent's licence (it's a must)

Experience handling multiple client portfolios is highly preferred

Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and SST requirements

Proficiency in accounting software such as SQL Account, AutoCount, Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and meet deadlines
