A leading e-commerce company in Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Executive responsible for overseeing and managing the Account department's daily operations. Job description

Responsible for managing and overseeing the Account department's daily activities to establish the financial status and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Responsible for reviewing overall Financial Reporting and compliance with statutory requirements, ensuring all relevant submissions meet deadlines.

Responsible for preparing and analyzing the full set of accounts, including overseeing Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), inventory control, and COGS, to meet management reporting deadlines and statutory compliance.

Manage all aspects of cash management, including forecasting and planning cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for daily operations.

Update, monitor, and verify all bank and cash transactions daily, liaise with bankers on financial matters, provide technical support, and handle insurance renewals for the group of companies.

Support other management roles and ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system.

Establish and maintain internal controls through existing business processes and accounting policies.

Prepare annual budgets, monitor performance against budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Perform any additional duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • Managerial experience in a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and timely decision-making.
  • Good interpersonal, decision-making, and influencing skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Autocount accounting system and Excel, including pivot tables, with the ability to build complex reports from multiple data sources and analyze large datasets.
