Job summary

A financial services company in Penang is looking for an experienced accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts. The role involves timely account closures, maintaining accurate financial records, and handling daily operations. Candidates must possess a diploma or degree in accounting, with a minimum of 2-3 years experience. Responsibilities
  • Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Manage daily accounting operations including invoicing, payments, receipts, and banking transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow, account balances, and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and company policy.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks or assignments as required by management.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years working experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
