A leading company in eco-friendly palm wood solutions seeks an Accountant to manage bookkeeping and financial reporting. This role involves ensuring accurate accounting entries, managing accounts payables and receivables, and preparing for audits and tax filings. Ideal candidates will have a higher diploma or degree in Accounting and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

IOI Palm Wood Sdn Bhd (IOI Palm Wood) is a subsidiary of IOI Corporation Berhad, a leading global integrated and sustainable palm oil player that is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Established in 2020, we are Malaysia’s first manufacturing plant to commercially and sustainably convert unused oil palm trunks into eco-friendly, sustainable and high-performance palm wood panels for the furniture and building industries.
Role Description
·Perform book keeping and general accounting, including Accounts Payables, Account Receivables, General Ledger, and etc. and ensure all accounting entries are captured in the accounting system accurately.
·Assist in monthly financial accounts closing and financial report preparations.
·Management of Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables, including monthly Accounts Receivables and Accounts
Payables Reconciliation.
·Ensure customers invoices and receipts from customers are taken up in accounting system correctly and timely, and
monitoring receipts from customers.
·Ensure suppliers invoices and payments are taken up in accounting system correctly and timely, including
preparation of payment vouchers and any other bank related forms.
·Monitor the payments to suppliers to ensure suppliers invoices are paid on timely basis.
·Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations accurately and highlight any issues if there is any.
·Involve in monthly inventories stock take, reconcile any inventories discrepancies and perform stock adjustments (if
any).
·Assist in preparation of audit schedules, information and data required by auditors, as well as attend any queries
from auditors during external and internal audits.
·Assist in preparation of tax schedules, information and data required by tax agents as well as attend any queries
from tax agents for finalization of the company’s annual income tax filing.
·Liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, regulatory authorities and any other departments, to ensure the
compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
·Liaise with other department personnel on any outstanding issues which affect the accuracy of accounting records
·To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager / CEO from time to time.
Qualifications
·LCCI higher Diploma in Accounting / Degree in Accounting,
·Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in commercial accounting (preferably in manufacturing industry) or in professional service (audit / accounting firm) with computerized environment.
