Key Responsibilities:
- Collections: Follow up overdue accounts by utilizing phone collection techniques, dunning letters, emails, legal counsel, and visiting customers to ensure customer payments are received on time according to credit terms.
- Reporting: Update the aging report on a weekly basis and follow up on the action plan after the weekly collection meeting to ensure appropriate action is taken on overdue accounts.
- Control Risk of Credit: Perform customer background checks to reduce the risk of bad debts. Update and ensure the business partner system is up to date from time to time. Perform month-end closing to ensure the processing of accounts receivables is accurate and efficient. Submit reporting on time before the deadline.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: A recognized Diploma in Accountancy or any other relevant accounting studies. At least 1 year of working experience in the areas of accounting, preferably from a logistics/transportation environment.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Professional Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills. Effective organizational, stress, and time management skills. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
