Job summary

A well-established company in George Town, Penang is looking for a detail-oriented Account Officer to join the finance team. Responsibilities include preparing monthly bank reconciliations, managing accounts receivable and payable, and assisting with year-end audits. Ideal candidates will have at least a diploma in Accounting and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good command of both Bahasa Malaysia and English is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum STPM or Diploma in Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Overview

Uni Paper Products Sdn Bhd – George Town, Penang

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Account Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, statements of accounts for both debtors and creditors, and other relevant schedules to support the month-end closing process.
  • Manage the full spectrum of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Record and allocate payments received accurately against the debtors’ aging report.
  • Review and monitor the monthly debtors aging to ensure timely collections.
  • Prepare and process payment vouchers.
  • Perform data entry and maintain proper document filing.
  • Assist in the preparation for the year-end financial audit, including compiling required documentation, supporting schedules, and liaising with external auditors.
  • Carry out other ad-hoc accounting or administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum STPM or Diploma in Accounting.
  • At least 1 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia, and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage (written and spoken).
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Must be willing to work in George Town, Penang.
  • Candidates with professional accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW etc.) will have an added advantage.
  • Experience with AutoCount Accounting Software is a plus.
