Account Manager for Schools (Mandarin-Speaking to Engage with Chinese-Speaking Schools)

Role Overview

As a Sales and Account Manager, you will drive Walnut Education’s mission by expanding our presence in schools across the region. You will focus on promoting our innovative programs and supporting educators and administrators to achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with school principals, administrators, and teachers in Penang, advocating for Walnut Education’s coding and robotics programs.
2. Present and promote Scratch, Python, and C++ programs, ensuring their seamless integration into school curriculums or co-curricular activities.
3. Deliver trial class and training sessions for students and teachers, enabling them to confidently utilize Walnut Education’s platform and tools.
4. Address technical or program-related inquiries, ensuring smooth adoption and use of our solutions.
5. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and curriculum development, to organize educational events such as workshops, hackathons, and exhibitions.
6. Proactively identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand Walnut Education’s impact in the region.

Key Requirements

1. Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably within the education or technology sectors. Alternatively, you are an experienced teacher or tutor, teaching STEM subjects.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with educators and school leaders.
3. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, enabling effective communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
4. Passionate about education technology and fostering digital literacy.
5. Willingness to travel extensively within Penang and nearby regions to engage directly with schools.
6. You will be provided with training to conduct coding and robotics trial classes.
