About the role

Arena Modulasi Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account Manager, Assistant Account Manager, or Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team in Senai, Johor. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing the financial accounting and reporting functions for our diverse client portfolio.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee all financial accounting and reporting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Monitor and verify daily collection and issuance of official receipts, bank-in and collection reports, and assist in preparing payment vouchers, staff petty cash claims, and issuance of cheques for suppliers, expenses, and other payments.
  • Assist in monitoring Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable to ensure all payments are up to date and accurate, and prepare payment vouchers, staff petty cash claims, and issue cheques.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet (cost allocation, depreciation, accruals, prepayments), as well as budgets and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and compliant tax filings and other regulatory reporting, including SST and E-invoicing submissions.
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, and other stakeholders to provide financial information and address queries.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members, and perform ad hoc duties as required.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
